Making pictures Larger on Blogspot!

Another blog I read recently talked about how to make your pictures larger on your blog. Pictures are after all what we all love to look at right?! So I'm passing these directions on to you. They are literally SO easy, even computer illiterate me could figure it out! You can do it right on blogspot, without going to an outside source!

We will, after all, need some large pictures to show off a very special birthday party tomorrow!!!

Make your pictures go from this:

Here we go. It's really quite simple once you know how to do it.

1. Upload your pictures to your post as you normally do.

2. You will notice there is a tab that says Edit Html on the right top corner of where you create a post. Click on that.

3. Now - each picture will have some jibberish that looks something like this:

You will basically double the size of your picture. Look for the section that says WIDTH, change it to 534px (or double the number there.) Change the HEIGHT to 800px. After that, look for where it says s400, and change it to s800 (or double the number there.) I have highlighted these sections in red. (You may need to fiddle with the numbers a bit, but I have found that if I just double the original numbers, it works out just fine.)

4. Go back to compose and check to see how your picture looks. It will be quite big! If it is too big, then you can change the size right there in compose simply by clicking and dragging, and you will not lose any quality in the picture. Easy.

You will need to do this for every picture. You might need to widen your blog layout if you want really big pictures. Also an Html thing.

Notice anything?

Little man is a hoot, an absolutely, adorable, silly, hoot. Even on our worst day he can get a smile and a laugh out of everyone.

• You have this new "fake" laugh. Whenever we start laughing you chime right in, "ahahahaha," just like you understand the joke.


• When you toot you look at whoever is near, smile & laugh. You are a man.


• You love to push the buttons on the TV boxes, your not allowed to push the buttons on the TV boxes. So when you get near, you reach for the button, turn around and look at us to say "NO." You totally know what you shouldn't be doing.


• Your favorited toys are a kid size broom, mop, dust pan, and a hand helf vacume. You sit in the middle of the floor and clean for hours.


• You're talking more and more. You say hi when you see us, you say bye when we leave for work and now you have a new word. When we're making coffee or when you spot a mug you yel "Coff, coff, coff." Your new word is coffee.


• You eat like we haven't fed you in months everytime you eat. You can't get enough, and you can't get it in fast enough.


• When we sing The Itsy Bitsy Spider you know how to move you hands (and when) for "down came the rain." Your a genius.


• When your falling asleep for naps you sing, stand, sit, throw things, laugh, eat your crib, you just have a merry ol' time in there.

Week 46

Well, we have some exciting news...and some not so exciting news. I've been biting my tongue from mentioning this before because I didn't want to jinx it.

Months ago (October) I entered Nolen into Parents magazine: American Baby Cover Contest. They were looking for their new cover baby. Fast forward to February 1st. I get an email that Nolen had made it to the next round. He was 1 of 10 semifinalists (out of 34,000!) During the next round they would narrow the 10 semi-finalists down to 5. Those 5 would then be flown to NY for a photo shoot and get a check for $1000. Well I heard back today and he didn't get selected, boo. He will however be featured on their website in a few weeks when they show the top 10!

I'm just proud of little man for making it that far! Way to go buddy! Did you even know you were in a contest :)
